Settling In

It has been a little over 2 1/2 months since we moved into our new house in Washington. We are getting more settled everyday. Here is what we have been up to:

Bella started preschool a month ago and is really learning a lot! She is very into science and math. She has made a few friends and is looking forward to summer time since they do water play!

Bry has had the roughest time the past four months. His weight had leveled off at just over 16 lbs. After seeing doctors in CA and WA we are now involved in feeding and speech therapy. It seems to be helping because in the last month his weight has jumped and he is babling more than before. Plus, his food and drink in take is up as well!

Wes is re-adjusting back to sea duty. His hours are a bit longer and adding duty days and underways back into the schedule seems to be going over okay with the kiddos!

I put the job hunt on pause because of Bry's needs and doctor's appointments. It is our priority to get him back on the growth chart by 15 months and going back to work would have made this less of a priority.

We are already preparing for our next move...more to come on that!

The Countdown is On...

So with just under 3 weeks left in Hawaii the countdown is on...

The last minute plan-making, in order to make the move seamless, has been occupying our minds and our time lately. But today we took time out to spend in the tropical sun. That was nice...Bella spent time with her friends and splashed in a pool. Bry soaked up rays for the first time too!

And in a blink of an eye...three years have passed and we are on to our next adventure...well with a 2 month stop over in California!

Where did the time go?

It has been a crazy few months. Stressful. Ever-changing. Pride-filled. And many other emotions. So many things have happened.

Wes was Pinned. Then we received Orders.

Bella had started preschool.

Bry got on a sleep schedule and then got off of it.

Mama...well let's just say I have been battling a very persistent sinus/ear/bronchial infection.

Many sleepless nights, followed by blurry-eyed days and as November approaches I realize how I really want to devote more time to my blogs and getting the little "projects" that have gone un-done, done.

I also realize how much of the kids' lives will change soon. For Bry, it will be an easier transition. For Bella, not so much, she has a hard time with change. It causes her stress that manifests itself in the form of tantrums, sleepless nights, and this little habit she does to go to sleep. I read an article the other day when I was trying to find any and all info on helping Bry sleep better. It actually fits Bella to a T. It was about gifted children, Though, I do not like titles for kids she seemed to fit all the qualifications...including the sleep issues. As I read it, I relived her short 3 years and the few issues that have stood out in my mind.

So that brings me to the title of this post - Where did the time go? It has been a long but swift 3 years here in Hawaii...Bella is almost 4 and Bry is almost 6 months. Where did the time go? To get all the things done I wanted to do here in Hawaii, where has the time gone? To enjoy induction and Pinning? To spend more quality time with the kids without being sick. Where did the time go? These last few months will fly by even faster. Then a quick trip to Cali and then on to the new chapter in Washington state. Geez...Where did the time go?

PCSing...

So its that time again...every Military family goes through it...
We are PCSing...Permanent Change in Station.

We are moving to the Everett, WA area and Wes will be stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln.

We have not discussed the move with Bella yet. She had a hard time understanding the concept of time and since we do not leave Hawaii until February it is too early to stress her out about it.

We will be in Paso for 2 months. In that time we hope to make a trip to Florida, another to Disneyland and give Bella her first "real" birthday party.

Even though we have just at 4 months left, there is quite a bit to do. I have opted to pause my search for work here, since even if I was offered a job at this point I would be leaving so soon that it is a waste of a company's time as well as my own.

My focus turns to getting the family prepared, making the most out of our time in Paso, and looking to setup "shop" in Washington.

Hopefully, Bella will be okay with all of this...

So many changes...

So I am totally not good at this posting to my blog thing...
So here is an update...The short version...
So we are expecting again! Due soon...May 25th, 2010.
We are also getting ready to get orders soon to leave Hawaii...it is weird...I never liked it here...but now it is so weird that it is almost time to leave...Bella is growing up so fast...Her new favorite things to do are wearing a backpack (she looks like she is off to Kindergarten), singing and dancing and re-enacting scenes from cartoons and movies and everything has a Mommy, Daddy, Bella and Baby Brother. Lately her sayings have gotten sillier...like she says in the funniest voice ever "TROUBLEMAKER." We do not know where she got that from, we don't use that term and if we ever have it is never in the voice she makes. She is getting more used to the "baby" brother idea each day. She is now okay hugging my tummy and kissing it as well as telling people there is a baby in there. She is also "borrowing" some of his toys and stuffies but tells me they are Baby Brother's not Bella's. That is really it for now...Just waiting on Baby Boy's arrival...Wes to finish his BS...Bella to get potty trained and me to finally find a job...HOPEFULLY!

September...

September already...
Well we went to Cali for our 10 year reunion and now we are back to the daily grind. More job hunting for me and Wes is finishing his last few months towards his AS and BS (yes, they are happening simultaneously basically!)! Lots of craziness as usual and Wes and I are just excited to see what the end of the year and 2010 have in store for us. Hopefully good things are to come... :)
